The course is divided into two units:
a) French Literature
b) French Society and Culture

French-speaking Literature: This course focuses on prose, poetry, and drama in the French language produced by Belgian, Canadian, and African writers.

French Society and Culture: Introduction; An overview of the French-speaking postcolonial world; Canada: Introduction, An overview of the regions, The political system, Linguistic situation; Ethnic groups; Maghreb: Introduction, An overview of the regions, The political system, Linguistic situation; Ethnic groups; the Caribbean; Postcolonial Africa.
