The course will enable the student to look at a sentence from three aspects - formal, functional and from the point of view of topic-focus articulation. The most frequently used Czech verbs with data on their valence and sentence analysis will be presented. The emphasis will be on identifying subordinate clauses, the correct use of conjunctions, and on the correct word order in a sentence.
