Students learn frequent vocabulary at the intermediate level for expressions of complex and abstracter topics. Passive knowledge on characteristics of oral and partly regional Korean and phraseology. Students learn grammatical and pragmatic structures of technical language in public commentaries, and academic and special texts.They learn how to write technical and academic texts in Korean, and how to choose appropriate linguistic means to express complicated contents. They also learn to understand and use technical and formal style, and to write official texts, acdemic articles and speech. They read short literal texts and academic discussions in Korean and by doing so, learn how to find and understand writer’s intention.
