Political, economic, social and cultural history of the Japanese archipelago from the first archeological findings until the WWII. Students are acquainted with the basic characteristics of each historical period with an emphasis on the social processes and changes in cultural aspects of society as a consequence of social development and of the transformation of social institutions.
