• Use of different types of information retrieval systems (web search engines, digital libraries, library catalogues...)
• choice of resources in systems according to need, context,
• search strategies, search tactics,
• query formulation,
• advanced use of Boolean operators, thesauri and controlled vocabularies,
• evaluation of the query and the information retrieved.
• Tools to organise the resources found.
