Representation of phonological segments and the phonological part of lexical entries. The nature of phonological processes and their conditioning by the phonological environment. Autosegmental theory. Theory of elements. Vowel-zero alternation as a consequence of proper government. Lenition processes as a consequence of other relations between skeletal points.
